Eight people were hurt in a multi-vehicle crash involving a school bus Tuesday morning in Wilmington, Delaware, according to the Wilmington Police Department.

The crash was reported around 9 a.m. at the intersection of N Lincoln Street and W 10th Street.

At the scene, firefighters told NBC10 there were no injuries and that the children on board were transferred to another bus. However, police later confirmed that two drivers and six school bus occupants were hurt in the crash and taken to a hospital in stable condition.

SkyForce 10 flew over the scene, where the front of the school bus, the side of a white SUV and a black SUV had visible damage.

According to police, the white SUV struck the occupied school bus and the black SUV, which its owner said was parked.

The school bus is operated by the Red Clay Consolidated School District. NBC10 reached out to the district for comment.
