The Canton Fire Department was dispatched for an incident where an elderly male drove his SUV into the West Branch of the Nimishillen creek. The vehicle was fortunately in knee deep water and was not submerged. Fire crews were able to extricate the male from the vehicle without incident. It is unclear if the man had a medical episode or drove into the creek as the result of an accident. He was transported to Aultman hospital for evaluation.
