Today: The cold front sweeping over Colorado is in full effect today. High temperatures are only reaching the upper 40s today. Drizzly and windy conditions cause temperatures to feel even colder. Light to moderate showers are expected through El Paso County after 2 pm. Heavy showers and a thunderstorm are likely in Colorado Springs this afternoon.
High County areas in Teller County and Pikes Peak are cold enough to get snow through the evening. Slowdowns on Highway 24 are likely, especially after 3 pm.
Tomorrow: Temperatures get even colder going into Thursday morning, with mid-30s all across El Paso County and 20s in the high country. Some moisture lingers in the atmosphere but mainly north of Colorado Springs. There is a chance in the morning from 8- 11 a.m. that some of the rain/snow could drop down from Douglas County and into El Paso County. However, conditions will be mostly cloudy, with a slim chance of getting a sprinkle and some flakes in the morning.
Friday: Coldest temperatures of the week come into play. The cloud cover rolls out and leaves us exposed to the colder air. Temperatures will likely be in the low 30s, making it El Paso County's first freeze of the season.
Low pressure rolls out, and the clouds leave with it, making way for a lot more sunshine and warmer temperatures for the weekend.
